4/22//24 – Mr. Peaches was being cared for as a community cat. Michelle was contacted by the community caretaker because Mr. Peaches had a severe issue with a nail (he’s a 6-toe feline) and was not eating as usual. Michelle took Mr. Peaches to a local vet and paid for the treatment of the toe nail but she could not afford the additional diagnosis of a severe mouth infection and dental issue. After getting an estimate from the vet she contacted us. Unfortunately, this was not a partner vet. Michelle offered to raise money and we offered to cover the difference needed. Mr. Peaches had dental extractions and treatment on April 18 and is now on the road to recovery. – diana

He was found outside after his family moved and left him to fend for himself. Our friends at Orion Animal Hospital and 4paws 1 heart quickly stepped in to help Mr. Feeny. He is now ready for adoption!

Gracie is one of 4 kittens born on the roof of a house in Grosse Pointe. Some mom cats give birth on rooftops because of the coyotes. The mom was killed by a Coyote, but the babies survived and were bottle fed from 2 weeks old, by the homeowner. She is looking for permanent placement and 4 Paws 1 heart covered medical. Last Monday 4 paws 1 heart was contacted about an injured stray. We were able to arrange an exam and then he returned Monday for sedation. The doctor quickly discovered the major injury was his jaw wasn’t attached. The humane thing to do was euthanize while he was under anesthesia. This is never an easy decision but none of us wanted him to suffer. Thank you to Kevin Anthony Krok for giving Butch love and kindness during his final days.

Sweet little Hope had her final vaccines and spay surgery yesterday. Hope was rescued by a neighbor after her owner put her outside to fend for herself when they moved. That’s when Hope was attacked by another animal and had bite wounds on her neck. She was also very underweight with an eye injury. Now she’s ready for adoption!!!!
